My Love For You Grows Daily

Dear Julia,

I’ve been playing with the idea of creating a website for you since before you were born. A place where we can create an archive of different life moments as we go through this journey with you every single day. There will be highs and lows along the way, and I hope to share some of them here for you, and have a place where you can look back on your life.

Now this is just the first entry, so I will surely get better at documenting what it’s like to be your father, what it’s like to watch you grow up, and what it’s like to see you become a person int this world that we’re so proud of. I can’t wait to look back and hopefully add some post that I should’ve already.

I look back and wish I started this earlier, but one day you might decide to be a parent and it’s a huge life adjustment. Now that you’re two, I feel like I’m in the groove being your dad now and hope that I can find more time to create this time capsule in a way for you have later in life.

Being two years into this adventure with you, I can tell you my love for you grows each and every day. You never cease to amaze me, especially right now watching your vocabulary and understanding what’s going on growing faster than I ever could’ve imagined.

Recently we’ve gone to the Stamford Nature Museum and the Maritime Aquarium together for daddy daughter days, and I’ve had an absolute blast with you. Running around showing me the way to see the otters which you absolutely love, or running around and showing me the way to the seals which you absolutely love.

I’m having. A blast being your dad. It’s not easy, you’re a tornado at times that never stops, but for someone who was scared to be a dad, I can easily say this was the best thing I’ve ever done in life. I want to spend as much time as I can with you. Watching you take in life and everything you’re learning is something I will cherish forever.

I hope that you continue to enter every day with the energy and excitement you have. And continue to bring smiles to the world because to truly are the happiest kid I’ve ever met.
